Bassetlaw in Nottinghamshire has a strong record of supporting communities prepare neighbourhood plans. Of the 55 parishes in Bassetlaw, over half are involved in neighbourhood planning. Bassetlaw District Council is in the process of preparing its Local Plan and, because resources were stretched, Planit-X provided temporary support to ensure that the council’s programme of support to neighbourhood planning could be maintained.
